RKM Irrigation installed my irrigation system over ten year ago, over approximately five acres, and it has been one of the better investment we ever made. The owner, Rick, personally ensures the system is functionally correctly. He winterizes the system and opens it in the Spring quite promptly ensuring we get the maximum seasonal use of the system. If something breaks, he is on the spot immediately fixing whatever needs repair. Rick also has added to the system as new planting beds have been added. Rick did a really, really nice job with design, install and maintenance of my irrigation system. 2.5 years in, and my lawn (sprinklers) and landscape (drip irrigation) look fantastic. We have an acre lot in Mequon with 16 zones. When we were getting quotes RKM gave us the most reasonable price and installed our system without much bother to us. Rick was absolutely fantastic. Had a broken sprinkler head. (Installed by someone else) Contacted Rick at night and he was there the very next morning. He was even a few minutes early. Rick/RKM Irrigation was referred by the previous homeowner for service on the existing irrigation system (not installed by RKM). We had a service emergency and Rick was there the same day. He even completed the repairs on the spot with extremely reasonable charges. Rick's service is amazing and his knowledge, promptness, and attention are first rate. I bought a house with a 22 year old sprinkler system and realized quickly that it was in pretty bad shape. I found Rick and he was able to come over the same day, which was great because my lawn was starting to die with the lack of rain. He was quickly able to troubleshoot the problems and give me a recommendation. I really liked that he gave me more than one option to fit my budget. In the end I had him replace the pieces necessary to have the system working again and update some outdated parts. He also was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the system and answered all my questions regarding the sprinkler heads and other components. Some of the smaller heads were not effectively doing anything due to placement and growth of the plants around them and he pointed out there are better solutions for that area I should be using and not expensive to implement. I never felt like he was upselling me (huge peeve of mine) and gave me a very competitive price along with a fully functioning system. Highly recommended for new installations, repairs or upgrades. In late summer of 2012 we lost over half of the lawn on our 1.75 acre lot due to the severe drought. We decided we needed a sprinkler system installed when we reseeded. After we spoke to a reference we received from our landscape contractor regarding RKM we contracted with Rick from RKM Irrigation. Rick and his crew completed the installation in the promised amount of time. Rick continues to support the operation and adjustment of the system on an as needed basis as promised. I would recommend Rick to anyone looking to install an irrigation system on either an existing landscaped property or on a new construction landscaping project. |
